The Sirius String Quartet Prague

The Sirius Quartet Prague was founded as a chamber ensemble in the early 1990s at the Prague Conservatory of music. All members are graduates of the Prague Conservatory and Prague Academy of Performing Arts.

The ensemble maintains the best traditions of the school of Czech chamber music as in the Czech, Smentana and  Dvorak Quartets.

The repertoire of the Sirius Quartet includes not only Czech music, but also many popular compositions by other famous composers.

The quartet often cooperates with other chamber groups such as the Prague Chamber Orchestra, the Talich Chamber Orchestra, and the Czech National Symphonic Orchestra among others.

All players are active in the concert life of Prague and are leading teachers in various musical schools as well as having established themselves on the international concert stage.
